Shriji Hosiery

Our shop, Shriji Hosiery, is tucked away in the Padmavati Shopping Centre. It’s Shop No 113, and the whole place is part of the Thakurela Sajankumar Thakordas area in Asoj. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the big city markets, but we like it that way. The shopping centre has a lot of regular locals who come by for their daily needs. We’ve been in this specific unit for a good while. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get a new shipment of hosiery in, and boxes start piling up toward the ceiling. We don’t have any big staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The glass at the front gets smudged pretty easily, so we’re always wiping it down. People in Asoj know us by name, which is nice. We spend a lot of the day just rearranging the shelves and making sure everything is where it should be. The morning starts with a sweep of the floor and a quick prayer. We don't do much advertising or anything loud. Most of our work is just being here when people need something. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the bench until it comes back on. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the shelves stocked and the customers happy with what they find.
