Shivani Beauty Parlour & Ladies Tailors

At Shivani Beauty Parlour & Ladies Tailors, we do two things at once. We are located at GF 25 in Yash Complex on Gotri Road. Half the shop is for hair and faces, and the other half is where the sewing happens. You’ll hear the sewing machine clicking away while someone is getting their hair done. It makes for a noisy but lively atmosphere. I’ve got rolls of fabric and measuring tapes mixed in with the hair clips and creams. Yash Complex is a busy spot, so there are always people walking by the window. We get a lot of ladies who bring in a suit to be stitched and then decide to get their eyebrows done while they are here. It’s a practical way to run things. The floor is usually a mess of thread and hair until I sweep it up at lunch. I have a small stool I sit on when I’m working on the clothes. The mirrors are lined up on the beauty side. It’s not a very big shop, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other. Some days the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps of the complex and wait. It’s just how things go around here. We’ve been at this spot for a good while and the locals know where to find us.
