Shivam Srungar Beauty Parlour

Our little shop, Shivam Srungar Beauty Parlour, is located on Sardar Bhavan Lane in the Raopura area. If you know where Kadiyakhadki is, we are right opposite that. It’s an old part of Vadodara, so the lanes can get a bit narrow and crowded, but that’s just the character of the neighborhood. We’ve been doing beauty work here for quite a few years now. Most of our customers are women from the nearby houses who just need a quick threading or a hair wash. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the door. Inside, we have a few mirrors and the basic chairs you’d expect. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when three or four people come in at once, but we make it work. The atmosphere is very local. You’ll often hear the sounds of the street outside while you’re getting your facial done. I think that’s what makes it feel like home for many of our regulars. We keep our prices fair because we know everyone around here. It’s not a luxury spa or anything like that. It’s just a place to get cleaned up and feel a bit better. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a few minutes in the afternoon, but we have a backup light to keep going. We open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a simple business in a busy part of town.
