Shiva Classes

Raopura is a busy place, and that’s where you’ll find our little classroom. We call it Shiva Classes. It’s basically just a space where students come after school to get some extra help with their books. We aren't some big institution with hundreds of teachers; it's mostly just a few of us who know the subjects well enough to explain them. Students come from all over the area, usually tired from their regular school day, so we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We have desks, some chairs, and plenty of pens and paper lying around. It gets a bit noisy sometimes when everyone is talking at once, but that's just how learning goes. We focus on the stuff that shows up in exams, making sure everyone actually understands the math or the science instead of just memorizing things. We’ve seen a lot of kids grow up here, starting in middle school and staying until they finish their board exams. It’s nice to see them do well. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. You just walk in and we get to work. Raopura has a lot of energy, and we like being part of that. If a student is struggling with a specific chapter, we just sit down and go over it until it makes sense. That’s pretty much the whole story of what we do here every day. It is simple work, but we find it really rewarding at the end of the term.
