Saibaba Dresses

Our workshop and shop are located near Kala Mandir in the Kacncho GIDC Estate in Mandvi. Being in a GIDC area means we are surrounded by other small factories and workshops. It’s a bit different from a regular market because it’s more about production here. We make and sell dresses, and the sound of sewing machines is basically the background music of our lives. It’s often hot and dusty because of the industrial setting, but we’ve got used to it. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass windows. It's more of a functional space where the work actually happens. People who know the Mandvi area find us easily enough near the landmark. We deal with a lot of bulk orders but also talk to people who just want a few pieces. The staff here are like family, we’ve worked together for a long time. There are piles of cuttings and thread everywhere, and sometimes the place looks a bit messy, but that’s just how a working dress unit looks. We don't spend money on big signs or marketing. Most people find us through word of mouth. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running. It’s a straightforward life and we are happy to be part of the local manufacturing scene here in Mandvi. We just try to make decent clothes that people will actually want to buy and wear for their daily lives.
