Rajesh Hair Art

Rajesh Hair Art is situated in Lalita Nivas, right at Shayad Pura Naka in Raopura. This is an old part of Vadodara, and the streets around Ghicata Road are always full of life. Our shop is tucked into the building, and we have been here through many seasons. It’s a small space, but we have made it our own over the years. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. The mirrors are a bit old, and the floor shows some wear from all the walking back and forth. Raopura is a place where everyone seems to be in a hurry, but inside the shop, things slow down a bit. We see a lot of familiar faces every week. Some people have been coming to see us since they were kids and now they bring their own children. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us doing the cutting and styling. The lighting inside is bright enough to see what we are doing. We keep the scissors sharpened and the towels clean. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially with the sun hitting the front of the building. We just keep working through it. It’s a simple life running a shop here near the Naka, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We spend more time talking with customers than doing anything else. It's just a regular neighborhood barber shop for everyday people.
