Pearl Beauty Parlour

Pearl Beauty Parlour is my small shop located at Kaladarshan Cross Road, right on Waghodia Road in Vadodara. I’ve been running this place for quite some time now, and many of the ladies in the area are regular faces here. It is not a very big space, just a couple of chairs and the usual equipment you would expect. My day usually starts early, around ten, when I open the shutters and start setting things up. We do basic things like threading, waxing, and hair cutting. When the wedding season comes around, it gets very hectic and we stay open late into the night. It is just me and two other girls helping out. We don't have any fancy air conditioning in every corner, just some good fans to keep the air moving. People like to sit and talk about their day while they wait for their turn. It feels more like a neighborhood gathering spot than a cold business office. I grew up in this part of Vadodara, so I know almost everyone who walks through the door. We don't spend money on big ads or billboards because the local word of mouth works fine for us. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with hair during a rush, but we clean it up as soon as we can. It is a simple, honest life here at the parlour, and we just try to do our work well every day.
