Om Gurugayatri Jyotish Karyalaya

You can find us over on Harni Road, specifically at Queens Road C 80. It’s a decent spot, though the traffic can get a bit loud during the rush hour. My workplace, Om Gurugayatri Jyotish Karyalaya, is where I spend most of my waking hours. It’s a simple room with a few chairs and a table where I spread out my charts. I’ve had the same old fan spinning overhead for years, and it makes a clicking sound that I’ve grown used to. People come by with all sorts of questions, and I just sit with them and look at what the numbers say. It’s not like what you see on TV; it’s mostly just quiet talk and lots of notes. I keep a stack of old journals where I’ve recorded observations over time. The neighborhood is okay, and I know the guys at the shops nearby. Sometimes I stay late when someone has a real problem they need to talk through. I don't have a secretary or anything like that, so if the phone rings while I’m with someone, it just has to wait. It’s a one-man show for the most part. I just try to be honest with people about what I see. It’s a steady routine that hasn't changed much in a long time. I just open the door every morning and see what the day brings.
