Nikhil Hair Art is at number 26, near Ranchod Nagar on Sama Road. We are also close to Nehru Nagar. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads. The shop is small and we’ve kept it that way. We have a few stations where we work. Each of us has our own set of tools that we’ve used for years. We get a lot of guys from the nearby residential blocks coming in. It’s a place where people can sit and talk while they wait. We don't have any fancy lighting, just the regular tubes. The mirrors are big and take up most of one wall. We keep the place as clean as we can, though hair gets everywhere when it’s busy. We don't really do anything besides hair and maybe a quick shave. It’s a very traditional kind of shop. We don't follow all the latest trends from the big cities, we just do what our customers ask for. Most of the time, they just want something simple that looks neat. We’ve lived in this part of Vadodara for a long time. The shop is just part of the daily routine for us. We open up early and stay until the last customer is done. It’s not a corporate business, just a local spot for local people. There’s no pressure here, just a chair and a haircut. We just focus on the job and getting it done right for the person in the chair.
