New Bombay Hair Art is located on Kalupur Main Road in the 390001 area of Vadodara. We are positioned right opposite New Ashok Transport. If you know that part of town, you know it is always moving with trucks and transport vehicles. Our shop is a bit of a landmark for the drivers and local workers around here. We have been here long enough that the name Bombay doesn't feel old, even though the city is called Mumbai now. It is a very straightforward hair shop. We don’t have many frills. There are the usual chairs, some old newspapers to read while you wait, and a big mirror that has seen many faces over the years. The noise from Kalupur Main Road is constant, but we don't mind it much anymore. It is just the sound of the city. We get a lot of people who are just passing through because of the transport offices nearby. They need a quick shave or a trim before they head back out on the road. We also have our local regulars who have lived in this part of Vadodara for decades. We talk about the local news and the changes in the street. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just keep the scissors sharp and the shop open for whoever needs us. It is honest work and we are happy to do it.
