Monika Roadways is over at 24 Karelibaug, inside the B H Complex. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Utkarsh petrol pump, which is the easiest way to explain the location to anyone who hasn't been here before. Being so close to the petrol pump means there are always vehicles coming and going, so it stays pretty loud outside. The office itself is quite small and filled with stacks of transport receipts and old ledgers. There’s a faint smell of petrol and exhaust that drifts in from the street, but after an hour you don't even notice it anymore. We have a few plastic chairs for when drivers come in to drop off their paperwork or wait for their next route. The ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve meant to fix for months, but it keeps turning, so we leave it alone. Karelibaug is a busy part of town and finding a parking spot near the complex can be a real headache during the middle of the day. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking the wall calendar to see what's moving where. It’s a straightforward business and the office reflects that. No fancy decorations, just some old calendars and a map pinned to the wall. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is when we need it.
