Monalisa Hair Art

We spend most of our days here at Shop No 23 in Saptgiri Complex. It’s right on Akota Road, directly across from the Gate Way Hotel. Being in the Akota area for so long, we’ve seen this whole street change quite a bit over the years. People usually stop by Monalisa Hair Art when they need a quick trim or just want to sit for a few minutes away from the noise. It is a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from their jobs. The complex itself is pretty easy to find if you are looking for it. We open up the shutters early every morning and we stay until the last person is done. It isn't a big, fancy place with air conditioning and mirrors everywhere, just a regular shop where we keep our tools sharp and the chairs ready for the next person. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on the weekends, but that’s just how it goes here in Vadodara. We really like the neighborhood. Most of the people know us by name now, and we know theirs too. It's just a simple setup for doing hair work. We don't have those big TV screens or loud music playing, just the sound of the scissors and some talk about the weather or the local news. If you’re walking past the hotel and need to fix your hair, we are right there. The ceiling fan keeps things cool enough for us. It has been our daily spot for a long time.
