Mandvi is a busy part of town and being on the 8th Cross means we are right in the middle of all that energy every single day. It’s a tight street and sometimes the delivery carts have a hard time getting through, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We don’t have a massive storefront or a shiny sign, just a door and a place to sit and work. Mital usually handles most of the things that come in and the space is filled with whatever we are working on at the moment. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons because the breeze doesn’t always reach down into the crossroad, so the small wall fan stays running all the time. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop by or finishing up tasks that have been sitting on the desk since morning. We’ve been here for a good while and the people in the shops next door are like family now. We share tea and complain about the rain when it floods the street a little bit. It’s a very simple way of doing things without any of the extra stuff you see in the big city offices. People know us by name and they know where to find us if they walk down the 8th cross past the main turn. It is just a local spot where the work gets handled day by day.
