Meet Beauty Salon is at 90 Omkar Bunglow over on Dabhoi Road. It is a bit of a different setup because we are in a bungalow instead of a regular shopping complex. You can find the place near the Mm Vohra Showroom. That is a big landmark for anyone who is not from this part of Vadodara. The space inside is basically just a part of the house that we turned into a salon for the neighborhood. It has a very homey feel, which some people seem to like because it is not so stiff or cold like the big places you see in the malls. We handle all kinds of basic hair and skin stuff. Since we are on Dabhoi Road, we get people stopping by who are just passing through the 390004 area. Every morning involves opening the front gate and getting the equipment plugged in and ready for the day ahead. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that, it is just us working here every day. Sometimes it gets real quiet in the afternoon when the sun is hot, but then things pick up again in the evening when people finish work. We have a few chairs and some basic machines for the grooming we do. It is a simple life running a small business like this one. We know most of the neighbors and see their kids grow up. Usually, people just call us or walk in when they need a trim.
