Meera Tutorials

Meera Tutorials is located in the Bhosari Industrial Estate, right opposite the Indoswe Main Gate at 13/14 in Makarpura. Being in an industrial area, the surroundings are quite busy with trucks and workers all day long. Our classrooms are basic, just rows of desks and a board at the front. It is often a bit dusty because of all the activity outside on the road. We teach a variety of subjects here, mostly to kids from the nearby residential pockets who need a bit of extra help with their schoolwork. The fans on the ceiling are old and make a lot of noise, but they keep the air moving. I spend my days preparing notes and checking homework. It is a straightforward kind of place—no fancy decorations or high-tech gadgets, just old-fashioned teaching. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to get some light. We have a small area where students can leave their bicycles out front. It is mostly about getting through the syllabus and making sure the students understand the basics before their exams come around. We stay open late into the evening because many students can only come after their parents get home from work. It is just a practical, no-nonsense tutorial center serving the local community here in the industrial belt. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep working through the lessons until the lights go out.
