Akshar Fashion Garment

Akshar Fashion Garment is located at Plot No. A1/424/a2 in the Gidc Estate. Our workshop is usually a mess of threads, needles, and piles of fabric waiting to be stitched. You can hear the hum of the sewing machines from the street before you even walk through the door. It’s a constant sound that you eventually stop noticing. We have about ten machines lined up and someone is always sitting at one of them. The light isn't the best in the back, so we have these extra lamps clipped onto the tables. My hands usually have a few nicks from the scissors or needles by the end of the week. We make a lot of different garments, mostly just following the patterns we are given. The Gidc estate is a crowded place, so we are always bumping into the neighbors when we are loading up the finished bags. There is a small sink in the corner where we wash up, and that’s about it for amenities. We don’t have a fancy showroom. People just come to the side door and ask for me. It’s honest work and it fills the day. Some days we stay late to finish a big batch if the deadline is close. We just put some music on and keep the machines running until the work is done. It’s just us doing what we know how to do without any fuss.
