Mahikantha Ice

We run this ice business over on J P Road, right near where it meets the K K Nagar Road corner. It’s mostly just us handling the heavy blocks and the smaller bags for whoever needs them. People come by when their home coolers are empty or if they have some kind of family function happening nearby. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We don't have a big office or any fancy desks, just the cold storage space where we keep everything. The floor is usually a bit wet and slippery, which is just part of the job when you're dealing with ice all day. It’s a busy intersection outside, so there's always a lot of noise from the bikes and the cars passing by. We've been at this exact location for some time now. Some people in the neighborhood know us just by the street corner. It's a lot of physical work, lifting and moving stuff around from the trucks. We start the day very early because that's when the local shops need their supply. The weather usually dictates how busy we are going to be. On those really hot days, we barely have any time to sit down or take a break. We don’t really bother with big signs or lights. Most of our regular customers just know where to pull over their vehicles. It’s a very basic operation. We handle the deliveries and the people who walk in the same way. Sometimes the old equipment needs fixing, which slows things down, but we manage somehow.
