We have been here in Mandvi for a while now. Most people know the spot because we are right in the middle of everything. It isn't a very large shop but we try to keep it organized as best as we can. The shelves are full of various medicines and basic supplies people usually ask for when they come in. Mandvi is a busy place, and there is always something going on outside our door with the carts and people passing by. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the traffic, so we end up cleaning the glass counters every morning before we open up. We start early because people often need things before they head to their jobs. It’s mostly just us handling the counter and checking the stock lists against what is on the shelves. If someone needs something specific, we look through the wooden drawers. It is a simple setup, really. No fancy lights or big signs. Just a regular shop where you can find what you need without much fuss. We know most of the faces that walk through the door since they live right around here in the neighborhood. It feels good to recognize the neighbors and ask how they are doing. Sometimes the power goes out in the heat and we have to use the backup lights, but we stay open. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly writing things down in the paper register. It’s how we’ve always done it here in Mandvi.
