Magicon Care Centre

Magicon Care Centre is located in the Nishat Complex, right on the Arey Road in Vadodara. Our shop is at A-G4, so it is on the ground floor which makes it easier for people to walk in when they have something broken. We are right near the old Loksatta Press building, so that is usually the best landmark if someone is trying to find us for the first time. The shop itself is not very large. It is mostly taken up by workbenches and shelves full of various parts and tools. There is always a smell of solder in the air and the sound of small screws hitting the floor. We spend most of the day looking through magnifying glasses at circuit boards or trying to figure out why a piece of plastic won't click back into place. It can be quite frustrating when a part doesn't arrive on time, but that is just how it goes sometimes. The traffic on Arey Road is always loud, so we have the radio playing in the background to drown out the horns. Customers come in with all sorts of problems, some easy to fix and others that take a few days of poking around. We keep a stack of old newspapers and some plastic chairs for people who want to wait, though most people just leave their stuff and come back later. It is a busy little corner of the complex.
