If you walk down Sarsiya Talav Road near Charotar Hall, you’ll find us in the Miyabhai Building. We are right there in Yakutpura. M R Bags is exactly what it sounds like. We work with materials and fabrics all day long. The sound of the sewing machines is basically the background music of our lives. It’s a bit cramped in here because of all the rolls of cloth and the finished bags waiting to go out, but we make it work. We started this because we knew how to make things that last. It’s not about being trendy or having a fancy brand. It’s about making a bag that a person can use for a long time without the handles falling off. My father taught me some of the tricks, and now I teach the younger guys who come to work for us. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the neighborhood while we work. Sometimes we get a big order and everyone has to stay late, but we don't mind too much because the company is good. The area around Yakutpura is lively and there’s always someone stopping by to chat. We don’t do much advertising. People just see the bags or hear about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple business built on hard work and steady hands. We like being part of the local community here in this part of town. It feels right to be here and making things for our neighbors.
