L & T Engineering Services

Our office is up on the 4th floor of the West Block in Knowledge City. It’s a pretty big complex, so it takes a few minutes to walk from the gate to our building. L & T Engineering Services is basically just a group of us sitting at big desks with dual monitors. We do technical work, mostly drawings and calculations that take up a lot of time. The office has that typical corporate building feel with the grey carpets and the humming air conditioning, but our desks are a mess of blueprints and coffee mugs. We don't really do much in terms of decor. There are some old project photos on the wall that are starting to curl at the edges. It’s usually quiet here because everyone is focused on their screens, though we do have a laugh during lunch in the breakroom. The view from the fourth floor is alright, you can see some of the city traffic from the windows. We deal with a lot of data and specs all day. It’s the kind of job where you have to double-check everything twice. We aren't big on meetings unless they are absolutely necessary. Most of us just wear regular clothes, nothing too stiff. We get in early to beat the traffic and try to head out before the evening rush starts. It’s a solid place to work if you don't mind the technical grind.
