Krishna Ear Eyes Throat Hospital is over at Ishwar Sadan, right across from Lakdi Pul in Dandia Bazar. Being so close to the bridge means we see a lot of people crossing back and forth all day. The building is an older house that was converted into this hospital. It has a lot of small rooms and narrow hallways, which can be a bit of a maze if you are new here. We handle ear, eye, and throat issues for anyone who comes in. It is not a shiny new medical center, but it gets the job done. The waiting room is usually full of people chatting because there is not much else to do. I try to keep the windows open when the weather is nice to get some fresh air inside. Dandia Bazar is a lively place to be, and Ishwar Sadan has its own history in the neighborhood. We have some old wooden furniture that has been around since we first opened. It is sturdy and reliable, much like how we try to be. Sometimes we run behind schedule if a case is particularly difficult, but people are usually patient about it. We do not have fancy digital screens or anything like that. We just use paper charts and pens. It is a simple way of doing things and it works for us. We stay until the last patient is seen every single evening.
