Kamini Beauty Parlour

I’ve been running Kamini Beauty Parlour for a while now. We are up on the second floor of Gauri Nandan Complex on Waghodia Road. It is not a very big place but it works for us and the ladies who come here. Most days start pretty early because everyone wants to get things done before the afternoon heat gets too bad. We see a lot of people from around the neighborhood. Some just want their eyebrows done or maybe a quick hair wash. The stairs to the second floor can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying bags, but it is quiet once you get inside. I spend most of my time here, making sure everything is stocked up and ready. The traffic on Waghodia Road is usually quite loud, but we have gotten used to it. My sister helps out when things get busy on the weekends. We don't really do much advertising because people just know where we are. It is just a normal shop where people come to talk and get their work done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how it is in Vadodara. I like being here because the complex is always full of life. It’s a simple setup with a couple of chairs and mirrors. We try to keep things tidy, even when there are several people waiting their turn near the door.
