Kalyan Hair Art

Raopura Road is always busy, and we’ve been here at Kalyan Hair Art for quite a while now. You can find us right near Optic Palace, which most people in the neighborhood know. It’s a straightforward shop where we do haircuts and shaving every day. The morning starts with opening the shutters and cleaning up before the first customers walk in. Some people come in before work and others stop by in the evening when things get more crowded. We have a few chairs and mirrors, nothing fancy or over the top. It gets loud with the traffic outside sometimes, but that is just how it is in Raopura. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long on those wooden benches. Most of the people who come here are regulars who live nearby or work in the shops around us. We talk about the weather or whatever is going on in the city while we work. It is just a local spot where you get your hair cut and go about your day. No one here is trying to be a big fancy stylist. We just focus on the job and making sure people look decent when they leave. If you are walking past Optic Palace, you will see our sign. It’s just a normal part of the street here in Vadodara. It isn't always perfectly quiet, but we like the energy of the area. We have been sitting in these same spots for years now and it feels like home.
