K R Mehta & Company is based out in Taluka Karjan 12. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which is how we like it. Most days start early here because the sun gets quite hot by noon. We’ve been at this address for quite some years now, and the building has its quirks, like the door that sticks if it’s been raining too much. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a lot of files, and people talking on the phone or working on their computers. We don’t do any big fancy lunches; usually, everyone just brings a tiffin from home and we eat together in the small back room. There’s a big tree right outside number 12 that gives some nice shade for the scooters we park there. It’s a pretty straightforward business we run. We handle the paperwork and the logistics without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when there are too many things happening at once, but we just sort through it bit by bit. Karjan is a small enough place that we know most of the people who come by. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation; we just want to get through our list of tasks and make sure everything is handled correctly by the end of the day. It’s just us doing our thing, working through the piles of paperwork and making sure the business keeps running steadily in this quiet part of the country.
