This place in Vadodara at number 69 has been where we run Jyotirmaya Classes for a bit now. It’s a small space, mostly just desks and a blackboard that doesn’t always wipe clean properly. We started it because students in the neighborhood needed a spot to sit down and actually focus on their books. It isn't a big institution or anything like that. Just a few rooms where we go over lessons and try to help kids understand their homework. The fans make a bit of noise when they’re on high, but you get used to it after ten minutes. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the subjects. People from around Vadodara stop by to check the schedule written on the door. Sometimes we stay late if a big exam is coming up, and the chai guy down the street usually brings us a few cups. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, just a door with our name on it. We focus on getting through the syllabus without making it more complicated than it needs to be. Parents usually just talk to us directly when they drop their kids off. It's a local thing, really. We’ve been at this address long enough that it feels like home. The building itself is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in a few spots near the window sill. We don't mind it much as long as the kids are learning.
