You can find Jyoti Medical & General Store over at the Refinery Shopping Centre. We are at number 13/6 in Jawahar Nagar. This part of Vadodara is very much tied to the refinery, so most of the people who come into our store are workers or their families. It’s a quiet, established neighborhood. We’ve been in this shopping center for a long time. It’s a bit of an older building, but it’s right where people need us to be. We sell medicines but also a lot of general store items like shampoo, biscuits, and household basics. It’s handy for the residents because they don’t have to drive all the way into the main city for small things. The shop is a bit small and we have a lot of items tucked into every corner. It can feel a bit crowded when the shift changes at the refinery and everyone stops by at once. We don't have a big corporate team, just us behind the counter. We know which neighbors like which brands. It’s a simple way of doing business. We open up early and stay until the evening. The refinery area has its own pace, and we’ve just become a part of the daily routine for the folks in Jawahar Nagar. It’s nothing special to look at, just a reliable shop that’s been here for years.
