Our place is at 101 Padra Road. It's a fairly easy address to remember compared to some others in the area. We’ve got a lot of glass and white surfaces inside because that's just how healthcare spots look. There’s usually a bit of a wait in the mornings when people come in early. We try to keep the chairs organized, but they always end up shifted around. It’s a busy environment. We handle a lot of samples and vials every single day. There’s a specific smell of disinfectant that hits you when you walk through the door. The staff here are usually moving fast between the front desk and the back rooms. We have these computer systems that beep whenever something is processed. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need to hand over a form. It's frustrating but we just clear it and keep going. We don’t have much on the walls except for some notices and a calendar that someone forgot to flip to the current month. The traffic on Padra Road can get loud during the rush hour, so you hear the horns even when the doors are shut. It's just a functional space for health checks. We aren't trying to be fancy; we just want to get the samples processed and the results sent out. Most of us have worked here for a while now. We know where everything is kept, even if the storage room looks like a mess to an outsider. It’s a long day most days.
