Jolly Hair Art

Our shop is right on the Salatwada Main Road, which is a very busy part of the city. We are located near the Shak Market, so there is always a lot of foot traffic and the sound of vendors and motorbikes passing by throughout the day. Jolly Hair Art has been part of this street for a long time. It is a straightforward place for hair cutting and styling. We do not have anything too fancy inside, just the essential tools like clippers, combs, and scissors. The shop is small and the walls have seen many years of work. Sometimes the market gets so loud that we have to speak up to be heard over the noise of the street. Being near 390001 means we are in one of the older parts of Vadodara. We open the shutters early and usually don't close until late in the evening when the market starts to quiet down. Many of our customers are people who work in the nearby shops or residents who have lived in Salatwada their whole lives. It feels like a small village sometimes because everyone knows each other. We spend our time sweeping up hair and keeping the blades sharp. There is always a pot of tea nearby and someone usually stops by just to chat for a minute. It is just a regular local barbershop where the focus is on getting the job done while watching the world go by on Salatwada Main Road.
