Baroda is where we do our work. Our office is located in the Vishratbag Society, specifically at A/17-18. It is right near the Pratapnagar Bridge, which is a really big landmark that helps people find us if they are not from this part of town. If you are coming down Makarpura Road, you basically just look for the bridge and the turn is right there. We deal with aquaculture, so our daily conversations are usually about fish tanks, water systems, and the logistics of moving live stock around. It is definitely not the kind of job where you just sit at a desk for eight hours. There is usually someone coming in with updates from the various sites or checking on the equipment we have stored. The office space is pretty simple and functional. We have some folders, a few computers, and a lot of maps or charts stuck on the walls to help us keep track of things. It gets a bit crowded when the whole team is in the building at the same time. Outside, the street can get quite noisy because of all the traffic coming off the bridge, but we just shut the door and focus on the work. Most of the people working here live nearby in Vadodara, so we all know the local spots to grab a quick tea. It is a very practical kind of environment. You have to pay close attention to the details with water life, otherwise things can go wrong fast.
