Jay Jalaram Hair Art is located on Road Number 2, just off the main Ajwa Road. We are sitting right across from the Aashrya Boys Hostel. Because of that, we get a lot of students coming in. They are always looking for a good price and a quick cut before their classes or on the weekends. It is a lively area with lots of young people around. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have the usual mirrors and chairs. I have lived in Vadodara all my life and I like being in this part of town. There is always something happening on Ajwa Road. We handle all kinds of hair, from long styles to simple buzz cuts. Sometimes the boys from the hostel come in groups and we have a lot of laughs while we work. It is not a quiet place, but it is a friendly one. We do not use any fancy products, just the standard stuff you find in any local barber shop. The sink for washing hair is a bit old and the water takes a second to get going, but it works fine. We stay open until late in the evening because that is when the students are free. If you are near the hostel and need a trim, you can just walk over. We do not do anything special, just honest hair work for the local community. It is a small business but it keeps us busy.
