Jai Durga Travels

We've been here in Fatehgunj right across from the petrol pump for a while now. Running a travel desk isn't always easy because things change fast. People come in to ask about bus tickets or maybe renting a car for a wedding. Most days it's just us handling phone calls and making sure the drivers know where they're going. It's a busy spot because of the petrol pump across the road, so there's always noise and movement outside. Sometimes we sit outside when it's quiet just to get some fresh air. We deal with all sorts of people, from students needing a quick ride to families going on long trips. We just try to keep the books straight and the vehicles moving on time. It's local work, nothing fancy at all. The office is small but it gets the job done for us. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to do things the old way with paper and pens. We know the roads around here pretty well by now after all these years. If someone asks for a specific route, we can usually tell them without looking at a map. We see a lot of the same faces every week coming through. It’s just how it is running a business in this part of town. We keep the keys on the hook and the ledger on the desk. That’s our daily life here. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything stays on track day after day.
