Gauri Beauty Parlour

Gauri Beauty Parlour is situated out on Bill Road, near the Bhayali Station in Vadodara. It is a bit quieter out here compared to the city center, which is nice. We are right on the road that leads toward Padra, so we get people stopping in from both directions. The shop is a simple room where we do all the usual beauty work for the local women. Since we are near the station, we sometimes get travelers who need a quick fix before they head off on a train. Most days, though, it is just the local ladies from the surrounding houses. We don't have a big sign or any flashing lights outside. You just see the name on the door and walk in. The floor tiles are a bit worn down from people walking in and out over the years. We keep a few magazines on the table, though they are usually a few months old. It doesn't matter much because most people would rather talk to each other than read. When the trains go by, you can hear the whistle and the rumbling, but we are used to it by now. It is a humble little place where we do our work quietly and try to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit neater than when they arrived. There is nothing complicated about how we run things here. We just serve the people who live nearby.
