French Herbal Beauty Parlour

French Herbal Beauty Parlour is located in Lucky Appartment over in Makarpura. It is right near Pooja Studio, so it’s easy to find if you know the area. We called it French Herbal because we try to use things like neem and sandalwood pastes that we mix ourselves. It isn't some high-end lab; it’s just me and another girl in the back room. The walls are painted a light green, though the paint is starting to peel a little near the ceiling. We don’t mind it much. Most of our clients are women who live in the same building or the ones nearby. They come in with their kids, and the kids usually sit on the floor playing while the moms get a facial or something. It smells quite a lot like herbal oils in here, which some people like. The sink for washing hair is a bit old, and sometimes the tap drips if you don’t turn it hard. I spend most of my day standing on my feet, so I wear my old chappals for comfort. We aren't trying to be like those big salons in the malls. This is just a place to get cleaned up. We talk about our families and complain about the traffic on the main road. It's a nice way to spend the day, really. We keep the curtains closed when it's sunny to keep the heat out and the room stays dim.
