Divya Hair Saloon

Divya Hair Saloon is over at 1 Madhav Park on Laxmipura Road. We are right by the Khodiyar Maataji Mandir, so it’s easy for people to find us. Laxmipura is a bit further out, but it’s a growing area with lots of new houses. The saloon is a small building with just enough room for a couple of chairs and a bench for waiting. We have a big glass door that lets in a lot of dust from the road, so we are always wiping things down. The walls are a plain color and we have a few old mirrors that have seen better days. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for when the local kids come in for their cuts. We don't have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that spins around and keeps the air from getting too stagnant. People around here don't want anything complicated. They just want a neat cut and maybe a shave. We know the families in the area and often hear about who is getting married or who moved away. It feels like being part of the community rather than just a shop owner. We keep our prices low because we know people work hard for their money. On festival days, we get a bit more busy because everyone wants to look their best for the temple. It’s just an honest way to make a living.
