Dilkhush Hair Art is situated on Laheripura New Road. We are right opposite Sadha Cinema, which makes it pretty easy for people to find where we are in Vadodara. The 390001 area is always crowded, and there is a lot of noise from the scooters and cars outside. Our shop has been here for many years, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon. We start work early because that's when the air is still a bit cool. Once the sun comes up, Laheripura gets very busy. We mostly just do standard haircuts for the men in the neighborhood. We don't use any of those expensive oils or fancy soaps you see in the bigger malls. It’s just us and our tools. The chairs have been here since we opened. Sometimes the movie schedule at Sadha Cinema changes how busy we get. If a big movie is playing, there are more people walking around. We spend a lot of time cleaning up hair from the floor between customers. It’s a lot of work to keep it tidy. Most people who come in are regulars we’ve known for a long time. We don’t really do any advertising. We just open the doors and wait for whoever needs a trim. It is a simple life here on the new road. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets their turn without waiting too long. It’s a humble place, but it’s ours.
