Dev Classes

If you walk down Vasna Road towards Satellite Road, you'll eventually find where we set up Dev Classes. It’s a pretty standard setup with rows of benches and a big blackboard that’s seen better days. I usually get here early to sweep the floor because the dust from the road outside always finds a way in. It’s a busy intersection nearby, so there’s always the sound of horns and traffic in the background. It becomes a sort of white noise after you've been here for an hour or two. We don't spend money on big posters or flashy signs. People mostly just hear about us from their neighbors or see the small board we have out front. The afternoons are the busiest time when the school bells ring nearby and the students start trickling in. I spend a lot of time sharpening pencils and making sure the light bulbs aren't about to burn out. It’s not a high-tech environment. We mostly use paper and pens and talk through the problems. Sometimes we stay late when a particular topic is giving someone trouble. The tea stall around the corner is where I go when I need a break. It’s just a regular part of life in this area. We focus on the lessons and try to keep things organized, even when the desk gets buried under a mountain of test papers and old notebooks. There is always something to grade or a lesson to plan for the next day.
