Deshpandes Coaching Class

This coaching class is situated right on Murar Road in the Dandia Bazar area. It is a busy part of town, so there is always some kind of noise or activity going on outside the window. We have been running these classes for a while now, mostly helping local students with their schoolwork and preparing them for their boards. The rooms are not very big, but we manage to fit enough desks and chairs in there for the groups that come in. It is a no-frills kind of place. We spend our days going through textbooks and writing on the board. Sometimes we have to repeat the same lesson three times before everyone gets it, but that is just how teaching goes. We do not promise anything crazy; we just sit down and do the work together. The students mostly come from the nearby houses. We know their families and how they are doing in their regular schools. It gets a bit crowded during the exam months, and we often have to bring in a few extra chairs to make space. The fan in the back room makes a bit of a clicking sound, but nobody really notices it anymore when they are focused on their notes. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the subjects well enough to explain them clearly. It is steady work, and we like seeing the kids finally understand something they were struggling with earlier.
