Delux Hair & Beauty Parlour

Delux Hair & Beauty Parlour is over in the Riddhi Siddhi Appt on the main road in Kothi. It is a busy spot because of the traffic and all the people heading toward Salatwada Road. The shop itself is not very big, just a few chairs and some mirrors that have been there for quite a while. We open up early most days because that is when people want to get things done before work. The floor is usually covered in some hair until we get a chance to sweep it up between customers. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially with the sun hitting the front of the building. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it does the job of keeping the air moving. You can hear the bikes and cars zooming past outside all day long. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break. Most of the people who come in live right around here in Vadodara. They aren't looking for anything too fancy, just a decent haircut or some basic beauty work. We don't have any big flashy signs, just the name on the glass. The shelves are filled with different bottles and jars that we use every day. It is a simple life here in the shop. We recognize most of the people by their first names and we hear all the local gossip while we work.
