Dave General Store

Dave General Store is located at Ambica Complex on Refinery Road. We are in Gorwa, right in that part of Vadodara where there is always a lot of movement. The shop is at number 2, and it’s a pretty straightforward place. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. Instead, we have rows of stuff like flour, oil, and school supplies for the kids in the neighborhood. Refinery Road can get quite dusty and noisy with all the trucks and cars, but inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter. We open up early because workers often need things before they start their shifts. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, especially when different distributors show up at the same time. We’ve known some of our customers for years, seeing their kids grow up and start coming in on their own. The Ambica Complex has several other shops, so there is always someone around to talk to. We don't spend money on big ads. Most people just know we are here because they pass by every day. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit messy around the entrance, but we just sweep it out and keep going. Our goal is just to have the items people ask for, whether it’s a specific brand of tea or just a lightbulb. It is a simple life running a store in 390016.
