Darjeeling Traders

Our shop is tucked away on Fatepura Hanipark Road, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s a busy street with plenty of noise, but inside it’s mostly just boxes and the smell of the goods we bring in. We deal with a lot of different things, mostly stuff that people need for their homes or small businesses. Running a trading spot means a lot of phone calls and checking lists to see what arrived and what didn't. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the main road, which can be a real headache. We don’t have a fancy showroom or shiny lights. It’s just a practical space where we keep our inventory organized as best as we can. My desk is usually covered in papers and ledger books because there’s always something to track. We know most of our regular customers by name since they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s just me and a couple of helpers managing the heavy lifting and the accounts. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we don’t have something, we just say so. Fatepura is a good area to work in, even if it gets a bit crowded during the festival seasons. We open up early and usually stay until the last bit of paperwork is finished for the day. It’s not an easy job, but it’s what we do.
