If you walk into Satva Avenue Complex on Sama Road, you will find our little spot. It’s right there on the Sama Savli Road, which stays pretty crowded most of the day. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing hair and basic beauty care for the people in the area. The shop is called Cuts & Style, but it’s not as formal as it sounds. It’s just a place where you can get a decent haircut without too much fuss. I’ve got my chairs and my mirrors, and that’s about it. The lighting is okay, though sometimes one of the bulbs flickers until I give it a little tap. People from the offices nearby often drop in when they have a break. We do a lot of shaves and hair trims. It gets a bit dusty because of the construction that always seems to be happening around Sama, so I’m always dusting the shelves. I don’t use any of those big marketing tricks. I just do the work and hope people come back next month. Sometimes the tea guy from around the corner brings over a cutting, and we sit for five minutes if it’s quiet. It’s a simple way to make a living. Most of my tools have been with me for years. They still work fine, so I keep using them. It's just a regular business where we know our neighbors and do our job every day.
