Cookie Man

Our little spot is located in Chanvada, at F11. If you happen to walk by, you can usually smell the oven working. We spend the whole day baking batches of cookies. It’s a pretty simple setup we have here. We have the big mixers going in the back and the trays cooling on the metal racks. It gets pretty warm in here because of the ovens running all the time. We aren't a big commercial bakery, just a small place doing our thing. We sell the cookies by the piece or in different sized boxes. Sometimes the edges get a little too brown, but that’s just how it goes when you’re doing it by hand every day. Chanvada is where we chose to set up. It’s a quiet enough corner of the building. We see people stopping by after they finish their other errands around here. We have a few different kinds of cookies, nothing too experimental or strange. Just the usual stuff people like to eat with a cup of tea or some coffee. Cleaning up the flour at the end of the day is probably the worst part of the job. It gets everywhere, even in your hair. We just wear our aprons and get on with the work. It’s not a glamorous job, but Cookie Man is okay for us. We like the smell of the place in the morning when the first batch comes out. People seem to appreciate having a place to grab something sweet. We don't do anything fancy with the boxes, just enough to get them home safe.
