Chefs Cakes Private Limited is based in Brahmin Faliya, which is just behind Patel Wadi in the Manjalpur part of Vadodara. It’s a bit of a local neighborhood spot, and the streets can be a little tight around here. We spend most of our time in the back where the ovens are. Being a cake business means there’s always flour on the floor and a lot of dishes to wash. We aren't a large-scale factory operation; it's just a small group of us doing the baking and the decorating. We don't have a big storefront with a lot of fancy displays. Most people find us because they know we’re tucked away behind Patel Wadi. Our day is usually a mix of baking, taking orders over the phone, and trying to keep the kitchen organized. It’s not always pretty, especially when we’re in the middle of a big rush, but we get it done. We don't really use corporate language or have any big marketing plans. We just like baking and that’s what we focus on. The heat from the ovens in the Gujarat summers can be a lot, but that’s part of the job. We’ve been in Manjalpur for a while now and we’re happy with our little spot in Brahmin Faliya. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we enjoy being a part of the local community here.
