Capital Unisex Salon

If you know Sayajigunj, you know how busy it gets near the traffic police station. That is exactly where we are, right under the Kadam Building. It is a bit of a basement feel since we are tucked away down there, but people find us easily because the HP petrol pump is right across the road. We get all sorts of people coming in since it is a unisex salon. Men, women, students from the university nearby, and even people just passing through the city. The traffic outside is always a mess, especially during peak hours when the police are busy managing the junction. Inside, we just focus on the hair and beard trims or whatever else someone needs. We have a few chairs and mirrors that have seen a lot of years. It’s not the quietest place because of the location, but it has a good energy. We don’t really do fancy marketing; most folks just see our sign while waiting at the signal or getting fuel. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair faster than we can sweep it during the afternoon rush. We just keep our scissors moving and try to handle the queue as it comes. It is a straightforward business where we talk about the weather or the local news while working. We stay open late because this part of Vadodara never really sleeps and there is always someone needing a cut.
