Can Power Rubber Industries

Can Power Rubber Industries is situated in the Sai Kabir Chamber near the Baranpura Naka in Vadodara. This is a very busy junction, so there is always the sound of horns and people shouting outside. The building itself is an older one and we are one of many businesses operating out of the chambers. Inside our space, you can definitely tell what we do because of the distinct smell of raw rubber that hits you as soon as you open the door. We have various molds and pressing machines squeezed into the room. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment of material arrives, and we have to stack the boxes wherever they will fit. The walls are lined with samples of different rubber parts we’ve made over the years. Our desks are usually covered in technical drawings and scribbled notes about various jobs. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, maybe just an old clock and a calendar from three years ago that we never bothered to take down. Working at Baranpura Naka means we are right in the middle of everything, which is convenient, but it also means we never have a quiet moment. We just put our heads down and get through the day's work. It’s a tight-knit little group here and we’ve all grown used to the cramped space and the constant noise.
