C M Patel & Co is found in Raopura, specifically in Sukore Nagar near the Shiyapura Police Chowky. Being near the police chowky is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. Raopura is a busy area and we have been part of it for a long time now. Our shop is filled with various items and we often have stuff sitting out on the front step when we run out of room inside. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get more than three or than four people in at once. We know a lot of the families around Sukore Nagar because we have been here so long. We aren't interested in being a big corporate entity; we just want to provide a service to the people who live nearby. The days can be long, especially when the sun is hitting the front of the shop in the afternoon. We usually have a bit of tea around four and talk to the neighbors. There is always some noise from the traffic and the sirens since the police station is right there. It’s a plain, honest place to work. We don't use any complicated words to describe what we do. We just open up, sell our goods, and go home at night. It’s the way our family has always done it. The shelves are wooden and old, and we have a small stool for those who want to sit while we pack their things. We just keep going like this.
