Our office is over in Ranchod Park Society, near the Amit Nagar Circle in Karelibaug. It’s a well-known spot in Baroda. We’ve been working out of this space for years and years now. It’s mostly paperwork and numbers around here. We have files stacked up on the shelves, especially around tax time. It gets pretty hectic then. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the desk gets buried under all the documents that people bring in. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. We have a few people working here, mostly just local folks from around Baroda. We know the neighbors and the people at the local shops nearby. It’s a friendly enough place. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who drop by the office to ask questions. There’s usually someone coming in with a folder full of papers. We sit down, go through it together, and try to make sense of everything. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s important for keeping things straight. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology, just the basic computers and calculators that get the job done. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big deadline coming up. We make sure the doors are locked and the lights are off before we head out for the night. It’s a quiet, steady life here in the society. We just do our bit and try to help people out with their business and accounts.
