Bombay Hair Salon

Bombay Hair Salon is situated in the Sangrila Complex at Radha Krishna Char Rasta in the Akota area. We are right across from the HDFC Bank, so it’s a very easy spot to find if you’re in this part of Vadodara. We’ve been cutting hair here for a long time. It’s a traditional barbershop style place, mostly for men and boys. We have the classic chairs that spin around and big mirrors so you can see what’s happening. The floor usually has some hair on it because we are always busy, but we sweep it up as often as we can. We do haircuts, shaves, and head massages. The head massages are popular after a long day of work. The shop can get quite loud with the TV running and people talking about cricket or the news. It’s a social place more than anything. We don’t have a fancy booking system; you just show up and wait your turn. Sometimes the line is long on Sunday mornings. The AC works most of the time, but if it’s really hot, we open the door to let some air in. I’ve worked in a few different shops, but I like this one in Akota because the people are easygoing. We use standard razors and scissors, nothing high-tech. If you want a simple cut without any fuss, this is where we are. We stay open pretty late to catch the office crowd.
