My practice is set up on the first floor of the Show O Complex, which is right by the Matro Poliex Ranoli Crossing on National Highway Number 8 in Asoj. Being so close to the highway means there is a constant hum of traffic outside, but it makes it easier for people from the surrounding villages to find us. The clinic isn't very large. We have a small waiting area with some plastic chairs and a stack of old magazines that nobody really reads. Inside the consultation room, it’s just the usual stuff you’d expect—an examination table, a desk, and some cupboards for supplies. I spend most of my day sitting there talking to people about their aches and pains or checking their blood pressure. It’s a steady stream of patients, especially in the mornings. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so we can see what we’re doing. It’s a simple medical office. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, just the basics to help the local community. My assistant handles the files and the appointments at the front desk. It can get a bit hectic when several people show up at once without calling first, but we just take them one by one. It’s just a regular day-to-day job of looking after people's health in this part of Asoj.
